• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

6k service

Now we need someone with some technical know-how to record checking their valves and post it as a how-to video. There is no way I'm paying a dealer more than $100 to check the valves.
IMHO, after you saw that how to video you might be a little looser with your check book. I'm stripping mine of panels before taking it in for the valve check. At $90/hr I don't want to pay a tech for taking panels off and putting them back on. Even then, it requires taking off even more things before pulling both the heads, new gaskets and special tools, as well as a stock of shims. If I had the time, the shop and the tools, I'd do it myself (I think) but retirement is still 4+ yrs. away. When I do have the time, I may not want to spend it wrenching on the Spyder, but then again I might. :dontknow:
