600 mile inspection

Quote from my dealer in Ft Worth Texas for the 600 mile inspection is $280-$330 and they would need the bike for two days.
This seems high compared to other dealers throughout the country.
For an hour and a half of labor, why do they need the bike two days?

Why the prices are so different in each state for Service, is still a mystery to me. :dontknow:

Had mine in for a 600 mile Service on June 5th;
600-mile Service cost me only $119.13
(had the same thing done like everyone else)
Had a few things installed on the same day $131.10
my total then came to $258.25 :2thumbs:

I could be absolutely wrong on my guess.... The Service dept is probably "Squeezing" you in-between other clients jobs, combined with labor time management. Maybe short handed that particular week and... Under promise then over deliver? :dontknow:

I just did my own oil change last week and it cost me $83 for 5 quarts of oil, 2 crush washers, 1 oil filter and 1 oil filter gasket. and that was after a 10% discount. I think that was a little high but whats a person to do.

600 mile service

Just made my appointment for 600 mile service in Granbury. They quoted a couple of hours and around $150. This is much more reasonable and in line with the rest of the country. I will let you know my experience but so far the phone conversation was real positive and they sound professional and experienced.Thank you for the recommendation.

The following is listed on my Spyder 1st service (10hr or 600mi) sheet
2 -pages

ENGINE:
1. Change Oil & Filter (Full Synthetic Oil)
2. Inspect & Clean Oil Tank Strainer
3. Change Transmission oil filter (SE5)
4. Inspect Engine coolant

ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM:

VEHICLE STABILITY SYSTEM:
5. Inspect for fault codes

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
6. Inspect Spark Plugs

DRIVE SYSTEM
7. Inspect/Adjust Drive Belt

TIRES/WHEELS
8. Check tire Pressure
PSI Front 22psi Rear 32psi
9. Check Lug Nuts

SUSPENSION
10. Lubricate Front Suspension Arms

BRAKES
11. Inspect & Adjust Parking Brake

and another page of filters, o-rings, copper washers.

1.25 hours labor

Completed all the above in an hour and fifteen minutes $156.90

The entire staff was a pleasure to deal with and kept me entertained while I waited. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
