600 mile service completed today

westgl

Orbital Blue RT-SE5
Took the Spydo in for the 600 mile service.

The Spyder never ran this good. I hope that this is the way it is going to continue to run, it just keeps getting better & better.

More power after the 600 mile service, maybe it's just the motor starting to loosen up a little. :2thumbs:

The more miles you get on it the better it runs. I have almost 2000 miles on mine and it keeps getting better and the gas milage is getting better also.:ohyea:

You hit a home run with that dealer, Treat him good.
Dealers like that are hard to find. :2thumbs:

Hmm, I had to sign a piece of paper telling me that the 600 mile REQUIRED inspection was NOT free and it would cost $300! They are going to install the CB/ICS at the same time, so I'll get double billed for removing the plastic.
Don't you just love fixed time billing? Once had a shop tell me that they would have to charge me an extra $80 labor to replace the belt when they did a water pump replacement because the shop charge for replacement said "remove and reinstall" the belt, not "remove and replace". I asked if I could bring in a new belt and when they took the old one off, I just slip a new one in it's place before they "reinstall" it.

You're so right! We're in Grants Pass and probably bought ours from the same place (WaterWorld in Medford). Yes, Ted and the folks there are the best.
:clap::clap::clap:
We had our 600 mile done a couple weeks ago and will be taking it back in tomorrow for a replacement part that just arrived.

1000kms service

Service done today.

$225.00 here in Ontario.

Oil & Filter
SE5 Filter
Belt adjustment
Suspension lube and adjust
Code check
Spark Plug check
Tires, lug nuts check
Parking brake check and adjust

Runs good. More power? Smoother? Seems like it.

I have a slight fuel odour since the service, dunno if related, but fuel cap was loose and I spilled while fueling.

I've had it stall twice today while downshifting from 2nd to 1st. Never done it before. Funny that I discussed the issue with my dealer while they were working on it, it hadn't done it yet, but the dealer knows about it.

If it acts up more, clutch will be replaced.

Cheers!

V.

(750 kms of riding today, yay!)

Glad to hear it, we're getting close to our 600 mile for the RS;
Ted & the guys at Water World are 1st rate in our book.

My first service was similar. They check a whole bunch of things. Also, the 3000 mile service is almost $400 if you go by the book and have everything checked and tightened each and every 3000 miles. I'm at about 4,700 miles now (I hope to make my 5K pin this week and I don't even have my BRP pack yet). I bought the RT on Feb 27. I love my dealer, but even if I do the work myself and just get the oil from him it's still $70.

That Shop Rate is around $100/Hr. That seems a little steep to me.

600 mile service (which is the operative word) was $296.44. Labor was $212.50, parts $64.94 and tax $19.43. Cost a lot, but it was more than JUST changing oil.

I'm not a gear head. Don't want to be one. I'm very happy and satisfied with my dealer and my spyder.
