• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You are correct in that there is more to proper service than a mere oil change. To put things in perspective, they use around $75-$100 worth of materials, parts, and supplies and spend about 2-2.5 hours at the going shop rate. $250-$300 is pretty fair, from that point of view. If you can do some of the maintenance yourself, you can certainly save money (and get to know your Spyder much better), but don't neglect the other items on the maintenance schedule besides the oil and filter changes...and don't forget to give everything else a good inspection, check fasteners for tightness, check tire air pressure and fluid levels, and all those "extra" things that most good techs do when performing routine service.

Not too severe, we've seen worse. To put it into perspective, I took mine in today for a 10k check up. Oil change, filters, full service, BUDS check, new rear tire mounted and balanced and everything that goes with that and a state inspection.......out the door at $360.
i was more than happy with that price. One heck of a shout out to the boys at Louis PowerSports in Greenville, Tx....... Thank you.
Oh, FYI they have quite a few '14's!

That is actually a reasonable rate. Some on here have been much higher. Now that the first is out of the way you can do your own and save up for the next major service. Most on here perform their own service.
