• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 600 Mile Inspection Cost

My dealer quoted me $279; I'm trying to get a feel if that sounds about right? Appreciate any info. Thanks.
I paid $168.00 in Bradenton Florida and was quoted $400.00 and $280.00 from 2 other Florida dealers.
For CA I think that should be a resonable cost.
Good Luck C-YA RL

I do not understand why anyone would pay three hundred dollars for an oil change. Remove 2 side panels, 2 oil bolts, 2 small bolts for filter, 2 more if you have a semi auto for little filter, reinstall, add oil and look at your :spyder2: to see if any thing looks out of place. If it isnt broke, nothing to fix and that is what the dealer does for all that money. You can purchase all the oil change stuff from krb1945 for less then $30.00 plus oil. I am 65 and not afraid to lay on the floor to do it myself. Takes a while to get off floor but in the end cost about $70.00 and I dont even jack the :spyder2: up. Just my way I guess.

My understanding is if you don't have the
dealership do the first 600 mile check and
sign off that they did so in your owners
manual, you could void your warranty.
There is a place near the back of the book
where they signed .

Got mine done last week at $270.00... thought was high but dealer said that's the going rate!

:agree::agree::agree:and I am 66!

covered as part of my BEST PLUS warranty :2thumbs:

plus dealer here has been great at helping me out (Mosites Motorsports in Pittsburgh, PA) just giving some loving back to the dealer. no extra charges just sign and go!

but normally around $280 I think plus parts (oil and filter and oil plug gasket washer)

Mine was done as part of a pre-paid service contract. But they write it up just the same. It started with 3 hours of labor at $91/hr, then include filter, oil, hazardous waste disposal fee, etc. The total came to about $330. I got the bike back with a checklist of all the things they went through and the service manager went over the checklist with me to explain the items. So it seems it was more than a simple oil change, but I have doubts about the 3 hours of labor.

$189 at Town & Country Sports in Cement City...and that included installation of my air dam, toe/heel shifter and mirror extensions.

I'd luv to get paid $90 an hour for taking down and putting back tupperware on the Spyder. That's just crazy. Think those teenagers working in the shop gonna do a better job than you?

:agree: BUT= If i could just drive up [no appointment needed] and just have an oil/filter change, Like with Cars,
I would stop doing it myself.

Paid extra at purchase to cover first 6 oil change/tune ups within the next 48 months. Also purchased the extended warranty and tire warranty. Guess I went crazy spending money, but it's all covered. But what will it cost in 4 years? Hmmmmmm.....plenty of time to learn and do it all myself by then.

$291. With tax. 66 per hour labor. 3 hours. And it does take some time to get the body panels off. Had to remove the entire front end to install the chrome fins but that was a free-bee. Still waiting for fog lights. On back order? Dealer is installing all the chrome goodies on their dime, so I figure the checkup bill is fair.
