• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

5 day old 2013 RS-S - Anti-freeze leak????

I rode my spyder in a CF donation walk in town today. I idled it around 2-3 MPH for around 4 miles probably. I felt alot stronger heat on my legs than when i normally ride it but my engine heat never got over 65% probably on my bar. When I turned my bike off it started leaking a good bit of antifreeze. So I took it for a spin and it cooled off, and still leaked a bit of anti freeze from the overflow tube beneath the bike. Anyone have any ideas on why or how this happened? I'm not a genius in mechanics, so any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!!!

More than likely anti freeze tank was over filled , Fluids expand when hot and flow out over flow tube...Just check anti freeze tank and only fill to level marks on tank....
FREEBOB..:doorag:

I would check the radiator capt and make sure its on the second indent, And if that's OK' Then look at the radiator hose lower right side for the one [theres only one] worm hose clamp, That has been found to be lose on quite a few Spyders, Happen to mine also.....

Check the fill level when it is cold. If it is low then there may be an issue. Otherwise, as long as the cap was tight, I'd say someone overfilled the anti-freeze during the preparation process and you're fine.

Have to agree..!!

as long as it is coming from the overflow tube your problem will be in the cap or level. Once cool check that the cap is tight it has two locking positions, first is a safety lock the second is the sealing lock. Then check and make sure you are not above the max level cold...:ohyea:

The most common cause is the collant cap. It has two detents and if it is not fully turned to the second detent, it cannot hold pressure and will spit out the overflow. Check that first.
