• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

440 Harley Riders and One Spyder

I just returned from a cross-country trip with 440 Harley riders which began in Saint Joseph, Missouri and ended Sacramento, California (2,000 miles). We were following the Pony Express trail - more or less. Because I started in Naples, Florida, my odometer showed 3,600 miles in Sacramento and would eventually read 8,000 miles by the time I returned home. On the way back, I visited my beloved black hills of South Dakota and my grandson in Wisconsin. I was away from home for 26 days. With a few days of rest, I will be ready to go again. However, nothing is scheduled until next summer when HOG and the Spyder will do the entire length of Route 66. We will also do something on the east coast. In 2010, the Spyder and I will do every Spyder event possible.

Nothing beats riding a motorcycle.

I have a couple HOG friends who were on that ride. Glad you had a great time. I don't enjoy the iron butt stuff, that's too much riding for me!

That sounds like a good trip and a good plan for next year's riding. In 10 - 15 years, I'd like dltang and myself to be retired and in a position to make any and all rides / events that we want to.
