• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2020 RTL and I am having problems removing 4 plastic screws around saddle bags.
Screws turn, but will not back out?!

:agree: Either a small pick or a small flat screwdriver. When I say small screwdriver, I mean the smallest that you can find.

The only way I could easily remove mine was to to use a small drill bit to drill down the center of the screw, then screw in a long self tapping screw or wood screw, only about 3 or 4 mm, the plastic is very soft, and just pull the screw out. Replace the plastic screw with a suitable size stainless screw. These screws and the bit they screw into are only locators for the boxes and do not actually hold the box on. Hope this helps.
Alan.

Thanks I did what you suggested

Use a sheetrock screw. Screw into the plastic screw and pull it out. When you put it back together just push them back in. I have had mine apart a couple time doing it the same way and reusing the screws. Very easy.

A few years ago I picked up a box of pins. Very handy things when you need a handy thing. Specially when you Butcher one or lose it. haha I also got a set of plastic trim removal tools. They sit for months and months. Then they are just whats required, on hand and no fuss.
