• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I my 2011 spyder rts has 3000 miles the service Manuel states that I have it serviced. My question the service dept in Daytona wants over 300.00. Is that the going rate and what are they going to do. Thanks for any help!

that is about what is normal in Nevada and was what I was told when I bought my RT. Just had the 6000 mile service done which was $440 total because then go in and check the valve lash on that one. Expect to pay for serevice.

:welcome: One of the bad things about :spyder2: is the high service rates. Expect $250-$350 for the most basic service. Don't let them screw with the valve adjustments. These are not needed until 30,000 miles or so. The manual recommends them at 10,000 or so. If you have this service performed add about $800 to the bill.

Most members will agree with me on the valves. The :spyder2: is very high tech--so expect high service costs.

:agree: The valves needn't be touched for at least 30k.
As far cost go's most adult toys are very expensive to maintain, And the Spider is no exception.

What they are scheduled to do is outlined in your owner's manual. Some of these things you can do yourself; like changing oil. Others require it go on their computer system. (BUDS) The price you were quoted sound fairly common. Change your own oil and save approx. $100.
