• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

3000 mile checkup costs?

at Virginia Motorsports in Ruckersville VA, I paid $250 for the 3000 mile service. The gave me complete BUDS printout and signed my owners manual.

i bought a brp oil kit, changed my own oil, and the dealer set belt tension for
nothing. check your battery bolts frequently or put star washers on them
like mike says.

keep all oil related documentation like invoices dates and miles if you change your
own oil

Just had mine done last week by Cross Country Powersports in Metuchen New Jersey and it was about $225. They changed oil and filter, adjusted fluid levels and checked the belt.

I'm scheduled to bring my bike to my dealer (Horn's, Bethel PA) next week. I'm at 3,000 miles of trouble free riding and will post the costs when I get them.

my advice is to shop around. I called two of my closest dealers and the price was drastically different.

Mine was done on the 2014, Monday 4/17. $389.99 for the oil change service. Add two front tires. $354.98. $788.97 total. :yikes:

I will be picking up the 2011 today. That got the oil change service and a new battery. Cost $622.98

One of the reasons I am becoming less enamored with the service aspect of ownership.

Add in the 2 new helmets $498 and the communicators $350 and I guess I am good to go for the season.

I am getting mine done next week and was given a quote of $222.00. Call around because the price is different from place to place.

I must caution you that this is not the same as buying a loaf of bread at the store. What they DO for the money that they charge, is more important than what they charge...

Have to agree with Bob. I think mine was around $300.00 and of course it included the oil change. Pretty reassuring to know that all is operating well and that you won't see them again for 9000 miles!!:yes:

cost

I'm having my 3,000 done today. The cost is 452 dollars. Three hours labor, the oil and filter are free because of a pre-season special.

Jaycox Power Sports in Worthington, MN just told me it would be $180.00. But I have 2,500 miles to go before I worry about it!

yes

Pre-Season in Ventura????????? It's always in season in Ventura!

That's why my wife and I decided to stay here after I retired. It's an expensive place to live, but you can't beat the weather. It's so temperate that anyone living within five miles of the ocean doesn't even need air conditioning. It's pretty hot for us today; it's 79 right now but there is an ocean breeze blowing so it's very pleasant.
