• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

3 year old gas.. Still Good???

ARCTIC

I siphoned some 3 year old gas out of a golf cart I was working on and the owner said I could keep it and he was going to put some fresh gas back in his cart. Do you think it would hurt to put it in my spyder? That's like $15 worth of gas he said I could keep. It smelled good like regular gas and it was probably ethanol but who cares right?!?!? I'm sure the old gas they made is still better than the new stuff:dontknow:. FREE GAS!!!
I think if I strain it through a sock it will keep the big chunks out of my spyder.

OLD GAS

Give it to someone you don't like, gas that old is not good for much of anything.
I would not put it in anything you use, caar bike, lawn mower and such. just get
rid of it.

You're thinking of putting three year old gas in your $$,$$$ Spyder just to save $15? Do you have any idea how much it could cost you in repair bills?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say no freakin way dude.

Really..!!!

would you give your child three year old milk..?? Even if you think it smell alright..??
Quick question have you ever smelled old gas..?? :lecturef_smilie:

This is a joke...it has to be..!!

Bad move...even if it was stabilized. If it smells like varnish, discard it. If it smells like gasoline and contains no water, put it in your car or truck to mix with a fairly full tank of gas. JMHO

There is a product called Pri-G that is supposed to restore old gas to usable gas. I've never tested that claim. I do use it as my fuel stabilizer( like it better than Sta-Bil), so I already have it on hand. But why would you want to spend $20.00 dollars to save $15.00 worth of fuel? :dontknow::lecturef_smilie::shocked:

Plus 1 on this. An old environmental engineering mantra is, "The solution to pollution is dillution."

:agree: Dilute it in the neighbor's mower; the one who fires it up the earliest on the weekends... it'll slow him down a bit! ;)

Gotcha!!!

And I just got done watching an episode of "Brain Games" where they discussed the Male Mind's inability to completely read and follow instructions... :opps:

Just put it in a nice red gas can and set it in your front yard close to the street and see how long it takes to come up missing.
