• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

3 Reverse Trikes - including a Harley

NOTHING

NOTHING on 3 wheels even comes close to our SPYD3RS.... :lecturef_smilie: period

I loved the tilting Harley, especially after he described the system to prevent it from falling over at slow speeds.

I think I would really like one. I miss tilting.

Agree. I like the tilting one - with the extra don't-fall-over bits

However, I think I'd miss the reverse gear too much, so will wait until that's fixed ...

Real competition for the Spyders, though.

Sorta validates the concept though, don't you think? I think this is the wave of the future.

:agree::agree:Yes it's the wave of the future - add reverse and abs etc (I guess on the donor bike) and I'd be tempted for sure
Love my spyder, and I reckon I'll keep it for a long time, but this is a real alternative for some

Think I would have to ryde one first. Not sure how stable tilting with 2 front wheels. I followed one of those tilting mopeds with 2 front wheels the other day and he was all over the road when he turned or changed lanes. With two in the front it looked like it took much more angling to get it to go where you wanted it to go. Certainly not like a single front wheel bike at all.
The new concept motorcycles will probably be better than the moped, but if it is anything like that tilting 2 up front moped I saw, count me out.

Piaggio MP3

The MP3's are pretty cool and when riding one, you'd never know there were two wheels in front. The wife's 250 runs quite well and I feel better with her having two wheels up front due to the added stability around corners and during braking. These things will fall over in a heartbeat, just like a two wheeler, since you can only 'lock' the front end when standing still. She did loose her balance and dumped it once, sitting in a 'traffic jam' at Cades Cove, TN! And they are heavier then a typical scooter!
You cannot beat the stability of our ST Limited, but when riding the "Dragon", the MP3 is a lot less work!

This go around it was more of an apples to apples comparison. The Slingshot, vs. Morgan, vs. Spyder was a bit far out.

The Piaggio has a place in the lower displacement category. Have seen a few around here.

The Tilting version is a bit better if you are looking for a larger displacement. The parts I watched seemed that it took the curves pretty good.

If I am going "three," I am going to stick with the :spyder: since it meets my needs the best.
