• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2022 RTL - coming up on 3,000 mile maintenance. I can do the maintenance myself but was wondering how important it is to have dealer put computer on it.
TIA Mark

It's basically 'Not really all that important', altho you should probably do it/get it done every now and then.... in order to check for any codes, warnings, or updates etc.... but if your Spyder is behaving & running well, then I'd suggest maybe it'll be enough to do it once every 3-4 services/few years or so?!? :dontknow:

Of course, your dealer will tell you otherwise, but who here who has their Spyders dealer serviced has knowingly had an issue raised or an update applied any more frequently?!? :dontknow: . I'd truly be interested to know if there have been many - documented, valid issues/updates that is, & not just the dealer 'saying they've done it'!! :p . I suspect most dealers aren't that pro-active, even if they say they are! :rolleyes :

Actually, the dealer didn’t mention anything about it. I’ve read stuff on this forum that indicated it should be done. No reason I can’t keep an eye on here and see if anyone talks about updates and worry about it then.
Thanks guys and gals

yes you can get the buds tool, I have it and it set me back about 600 bucks. If you have the tool, it will help if you plan to do your own maint. as some maint. requires the use of Buds.
