• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

25 States and 50 National Parks/Monuments

I plan to do the subject Iron Butt ride later this year. I will be camping most nights, but probably eating in restaurants more often than I cook. I will be avoiding all major metro areas, and while not avoiding interstates exactly, between that objective and visiting national parks that is a desirable result.

Trip will include a visit to all 26 states East of the Mississippi, with at least one Park/Monument in 25 of them.

Any thoughts/comments and certainly your advice would be welcome.

Oh yes, I will be riding a 2016 Spyder F3 Ltd SS, pulling a 622 trailer.

Are you riding alone? Sometimes that's the best. Meeting new people along the way is my very favorite.

The RT622 trailer is the very best. Absolutely no bounce and trails great. Enjoy the trip!

I prefer the option to alter routs and/or length of stay at a whim.

Thanks

It sounds like a great adventure. I think 40 days is ambitious. I hope you'll take time to enjoy the sites along the way. Don't forget to post some pics for the rest of us.

national park passport book

if you don't already have one, go get a national park passport book. That includes a map and listings of all the national parks/monuments in the US/US territories. We often plan our trips based on "what's close" and will go out of our way to stop at a nearby park/monument. The map helps plan the route, then you may have to do a little bit of internet work to see if the hours and rules are compatible with your trip. Then you go on your trip and collect passport stamps. There are often different stamps at different locations within the same park/monument.

Passport with site pass is also documentaction for IBA

Also, do not forget Senior pass, for mature folks like me.
