There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2103 Fender Conversion

Well, I pulled the trigger on the fender conversion. I bought the parts from SpyderLovers sponsor Rob's Performance Motorsports and chatted back and forth with SpyderLovers member DrewNJ. With knowledge and parts in hand, today was the day. I like the look. If I can find a deal on some 15" rims I may swap them out with my 14" rims when I need new shoes. I have 9000 miles on the current rubber and at the rate of wear it's going to be a while.

I had the Custom Dynamics Fender TIPS Kit on the previous set up so the front lights on the '13 fenders blink with the blinkers. I'll have to save up for the TricLed fender LEDs. That's something I'll get put on at SpyderFest 2014.

I like the contrast of the painted fender and the center tunnel. I think it blends in well with the rest of the Matte Black trim pieces.

Looks Nice

That really looks nice........ was thinking about doing it to my 2011 RT but if all goes as planned i will get a set of them in the cognac color

Nicely done..!!

looks great. All the hard work paid off handsomely. Awesome looking ryde..Congrats..!! :2thumbs:

Nice work Kraig! Spyder looks fantastic!
Also, Keep those wire harness extensions that came with the kit handy if you change up the lighting on the front. It would make it pretty easy to wire up some plug and play lights.

So... This could mean that older fenders can be mounted on 2014)) yippie!

I would think so. I know a guy that just switch to the 2013 fenders and has a set of spotless, mint condition Pure Magnesium 2012 fenders with all the Custom Dynamics LED's for sale..;)...;)

I have the same rig and did the same mod, also like the contrast and you will really like it when the reflectors are changed out.

Parts Needed?

I have a Viper Red 2012 RT-S and would love to do this conversion as well. What parts (numbers if you still have) are required to do this upgrade?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

The fender supports:
Part #219400359 $399.99
The fenders:
They don't show a part number for red, so here''s the number for the white ones, and you'll need to get them painted
Part #219400467 $249.99

Bob has you covered with the part numbers.
You have a few choices. Either buy the white fenders and have them painted, or buy the matte black kit if your OK with the color contrast.
I guess you could also buy the color matched replacement fenders but iirc it gets REALLY pricey going that route....

That's why I gave him the number for white... It gives some interesting options... :D
If you want the codes for the other colors, just give holler, and I'll get them for you!

Very nice. Very nice indeed.
A small piece of unsolicited advice.
Once you get the reflectors lit up on the front fenders, the Spyder will look out of balance.
It's almost a moral imperative to get the red brightsides from Custom Dynamics to light up the red reflectors on rear bags.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

TricLEDs is now also offering them... :2thumbs:

I didn't see the rear reflectors.
Do you have a link ?
I bought the front reflectors from Spyder Lyter at Spyderquest.
He takes the actual BRO reflectors, routes out channels and installs the LEDs.
When the lights are off the reflectors look just like stock. I like that.
The Custom Dynamics Brightsides are newly fabricated devices. They use a red colored clear cover over their lights. With the lights off, they don't resemble the stock reflectors. I find that a little disappointing. I'd be interested in the TricLED units to see what they look like.

P.S. The music on the TricLED site is a little off-putting.

Wont changing the rim size throw off Nanny? Well unless you put smaller tires on so the total diameter doesn't change?
