• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 2025 Motorcycle of the Year

I've ridden my RT in most of the lower 48 in some very 'adventurous' places including 2 & 1 track 'paths', grass fields, mud, and loose gravel. I live near the Pine Barrens and every time I pass a fire road, I want to explore it but rarely make the effort because the RT traction SUCKS in sand on street tires. If I had no heirs and a bigger garage, I'd be a candidate for the Red Rock. My long distance touring is losing appeal so the comfort of the RT isn't as important as it was when I chose the RT in '20. Maybe a swap is in the future?

From what I can tell, the Canyon is destined to be a very short run. Its NOT selling.

After trying one, I understand why. Its a compromise and not really good at on road or off. Its also uncomfortable and a VERY high center of gravity. Much higher than even the RT.

I'm sure Rider knew the hornet's nest they were stirring up with that statement. I would guess that there are accusations of payment under the table from BRP, just for starters.
I recently bought both an RTL and a Canyon RR. I came from Adventure bikes. My first ride on a Spyder was the Canyon. After 100 miles, I couldn't believe it. Just outstanding. But the group I was riding with were all RT's. The next week I purchased the RTL, which I love, but I couldn't stop thinking about the Canyon RR. So a week later I bought that. I love both of these machines and I haven't ridden any of my motorcycles since (last couple months). My RTL is a '25 and it far exceeds my expectations, but I have been told that my next mods should be one of your sway bars and shocks. What should I expect with those mods? How will it ride differently? It already rides fantastic. But for those who are poo-poo'ing the Canyon, just take one for a ride. It really is an awesome bike.

I thought that was Hannibal...?
Anyway, Can Am had a short Instagram story with someone from the magazine and they basically said the Canyon was chosen because it makes the access easier for those looking to get into that style of riding. It's also on YouTube

Oh, I am busted. You are right; it was Hannibal. I need to revisit my history.

I've been saying this since day 1!! The Canyon is DOA. But knowing BRP, they will beat it into the ground and lose money before admitting that they were wrong, lol.

Meanwhile, the rest of the line-up is so stale that there's zero point in buying a new Ryker or Spyder, just buy used.

Did you try the base model or RR?

Hard to believe, but better stability and less sway, especially in turns, when passing, or being passed by a big vehicle (think semi truck) at Hwy speeds. I can't say for sure with the '25 model, though. Mine is a '20 and I enjoyed it without the new bar for several years.
As far as the RR, I agree. Riding it during my demo had me shocked at how comfortable it was. The seating profile is definitely different than the other Spyders, but it works. I didn't take it off the pavement. I understand it's less capable than the traditional adventure bike, but it does what it's designed to do.

If I were you, I'd hold off on the sway bar until after getting a couple of thousand miles on it. I can't speak on the shocks, as I still use the OEMs.
Also, Pedal Box or Pedal Commander would be my 1st performance related mod, unless you're willing to pay for all 3 at the same time?! ;)

I didn't try any of them, my point is no one asked for this Canyon, we wanted updates and improvements to the current line-up, which Can Am has been ignoring for years. I'll buy a used F3 that can do everything the Canyon can do.

I think it would be fun to have a lift kit and upgraded hubs and wheels to mount off road tires for an older manual transmission version of the F3.

Lamonster or Ron ...take my money!! LOL

I've seen plenty of your comments and YT vids regarding not getting the new things you wanted from Can Am.
I'm not knocking you here. I get it. I was just curious.
