2023 F3 Ltd with no dual-USB outlet in trunk - did this change recently? Any info?

Hello Folks,

I bought a new 2023 F3 Limited Special Series last week and I just realized that I don't have a dual USB outlet in my trunk. I checked an online parts fiche and I also don't see a trunk USB outlet listed for my year and model. Just the round blank that's in there now. Did this change recently? I thought all F3 Limiteds came with dual USB ports in the trunks. If not, I guess I'll have to order an aftermarket solution. I'm also going to call my dealer tomorrow when they're open to double check with them.

Just trying to find out for sure one way or the other before I talk to my dealer.

My 2021 F3Ltd had a dual USB. Use it for charging GoPro batteries.

It right in the center and had a plug cover.

Is there an empty hole where one should be?

I have a 2023 F3 LTD Special Series also, I do not have a dual USB port in my trunk. I have only the round blank for one.

Flamewinger, yes, there’s a hole where the USB sockets would be. Like Deanna777 said, there’s just a blank cap covering the hole.

Then take it to the dealer and get them to fix it. It's probably under the trunk (which is removable).

my 2020 F3L has 2 usb ports in trunk, i have my old phone plugged in back there, i use it for bluetooth music and it also keeps the phone charged up also..

brp prolly deleted it for lower cost.. i see they deleted the drivers backrest on the special series also. hummm

I took off my trunk but there’s no USB outlet stashed anywhere underneath. I’ll likely order a generic outlet from Amazon and install it. I did notice that unlike previous years, my 2023 top case uses the LinQ system rather than the removal of the two bolts I’ve seen in DIY videos.

I suspect a change did occur where the 2023 F3 Limited was tweaked compared to earlier years. My dealer isn’t open yet but I will be calling them today to confirm.

Also, FYI, if you have the passenger armrests installed on a 2023 F3 Limited, you have to remove/loosen them to get them far enough out of the way to tilt the top case high enough for removal.

On my 2023 F3 LTD Special Series my top case has a handle that you can lift and pull off the knob to use.

In the back of the trunk just above the knob that you use to remove the trunk, there is a USB port( there is a cover over it,and it is labeled USB) and a light. ( that only works when the bike is running).
