• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2022 Ryker keyless gas cap, where to get?

Does anyone know where I can get a keyless gas cap for my 22 Ryker 900 Sport? Thanks in advance.

Why? Just don’t lock the cap you have, or ask your dealer parts counter if a cap for a pre ‘22 model will fit your 22 model as the earlier caps did not lock. That feature was added for 2022.

The '22 cap is much easier to live with once you pull the ring and tether off, that thing drove me nuts.

Thanks for the question. I went out and looked at my '22 gas cap. It does have a lock in it. Pitched that tether off when I got it last December. Never even looked to see that it had a lock. Just unscrew it, add gas and go.

Having a lock on a gas cap hidden under the cover makes no sense to me. I never tried to lock it. Never will. Of course I'm a guy that bought an extra ignition module, painted it black and have never taken it off the bike. My Harleys have their ignition switches open. Not so with other bikes and glad I have not lost their keys.

The '22 models came standard with a locking gas cap and parking brake, I believe. I've never locked either of them. The tether was pure aggravation.

I wish Slingmods still sold the ventless cap for the 2020 ryker. The keyed cap works but the wife keeps her keys in the frunk so it can be in inconvenience. I might talk to her about the spray can cap option posted in the link above. I like that idea as long as it doesn't make a rattling sound while driving.

Yep, that's what I use on my 2019 Rally. A rattle can cap. If it does rattle it's very little with no noise. I also tapped in a small screw in the top center to be able to grab the screw head for a handle. The cap only sticks up maybe 1/4" and it's rounded (hard to get ahold of.) NO nut on bottom side, don't need That rattling around in the tank someday!
