• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2022 Models to be Announced

August 11th the new 2022 Spyder will be unveiled.

Wonder what new things if any we will see this time? :dontknow:

Our 2015 RT has carried us around much of the U.S. and Canada and has been stone reliable. I know that is no consolation to those who have had issues, but not all Spyders are problematic. I almost sprang for a new 2021, but when I thought about it being pretty much the same as my 15 under the pretty clothes I decided to keep what has been good to me. It will take some major upgrades to get me off my 15.

Speech to text; I drove my sea-to-sky into a wall and now it has some scratches on the rim. I also have been playing with the idea of buying a f3s as a second ride, and put some money to the side for that.

Great timing for this announcement lol.

Unless they are doing an upgrade on the drivetrain, I will wait until they do something different or pick up a deal on a used 2020 or 2021 RT Limited. They really do look nice to me, and the wife is getting her license next month. I am hoping I can convince her that we need another bike.

The "tease" is on. Hope that the expectations are met. Bigger engine and some style/color changes will get my attention. Time will tell. 48 hours and counting. :bbq::bbq:

I a newbie on this board and have been lurking and learning for the past couple of months. I am a 72 year old relic who currently rides a Gold Wing and a Street Glide. The bikes are getting harder for me to handle (particularly at slow speeds) and I think my two wheel days are drawing to a close. I love motorcycle touring and hope I can make a transition to three wheels soon.

I saw where the 2022 models are being announced by BRP on Wednesday. I suspect there won’t be major changes to the Spyder RT so soon after the recent makeover but it will be interesting to see if there are new colors or an up date or improvement to BRP Connect.

What are peoples thoughts or wish list for improvements or updates on the 2022 bikes?

If they just dropped BRPC and added Car Play and Auto, it would be a worthy announcement. Even better if the firmware was available (even at a fee) for older bikes. But I don't expect it.

The picture in the teasers looks like a turbo Ryker to me. This picture defiantly looks like a Ryker with a scoop on the hood for an intercooler!

There replacing the Ryker Rally with the Ryker sport same 900cc motor same hp Can-Am Ryker 900 Sport is to feature slight revisions to the engine, mostly for the sake of emissions regulations

Looks like the new rumor is it has a hood scoop with a turbo under the hood! :joke:

I do have to admit the things that would make me upgrade to a new model RTL would be to fix the BRP Connect and add XM Radio. I don't think I have seen anyone here that has gotten BRP Connect to work the way it should. So I'm hoping year 5 they get BRP Connect to work.

Both the US Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Agency have approved the 2022 Can-Am Ryker 900 Sport along with the base model Ryker 900 they say 81.9hp at 8000rpm. so no turbo:rolleyes:
