• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2020 Spyder RTL Lights up the night!

Wow doesn't quite describe it. From the front it looks like a super nova closing fast!

When you drive by a airport, do you have to call ahead for permission to pass??:2thumbs:

All in all, I put on the TRICLED: Sequential Fender Lights, the Floorboard Lights, the rear Brake/Run/Turn Lights, Side Bag Lights, and the LED American Flag on the back. I think I'm done with lighting mods for a while. ;)

I want the tricLED floorboard lights, but don't know if they're compatible with the show chrome fender lights. The dealer installed them. I don't think they came with a plug n play harness. I believe everything was spliced and crimped.
You did a nice job on the lighting:2thumbs:

Thanks. Yeah, the dealer installed the show chrome ones on mine too. I took em off, and put Tricled's on. Simply cut the wires leading to it, and taped them off, then used the Tricled plug and play harnesses for everything else. VERY EASY. (With the exception of me not understanding one of the directions.)

Awesome! Thanks. Did you get rid of the show chrome b/c you didn't like them or b/c you couldn't use with tricLED floorboard lights?

Actually the part about legality in some states is relevant. I'm in Minnesota and the rules here state only four forward facing headlights. I was pulled over 5 years ago by a MN State Trooper, was riding my 2016 RT-L with a spider pops bump skid that had the LED's. His comment to me was that it was "terrifying to the on-coming drivers and that he had me on two points. a) more than four forward facing headlights and b) you can't have white lights shining to the rear (except license plate) Spent 30 minutes in the cold with him alternately telling me that he was "pretty sure he was right" and unless I agreed with him to take a citation he was going to have me towed. I countered with they were not headlights but marker lights which are allowed and he should look up the definition of headlights with regard to candle power or lumens. Told him to call a supervisor and also mentioned he was not the brightest cub in the litter. He took it well because he started backing up on how sure he was it met the criteria for a violation. I finally decided to push the subject by telling him to tow me, write the citation, I'd have him subpoenaed to testify and also have someone from the MN DOT explain to him and his sergeant in court what constituted a headlight versus a marker light and that no, he didn't have the power to have a major manufacturer change their design. He actually said that with the fogs and headlights, the marker lights on the front fenders violated the statute and BRP / Can Am was going to have to recall their spyders. After 45 minutes in 40 degree weather he ultimately gave up, printed out the part of the statute he thought vindicated his case and said adios. Three years later I got pulled over by another State Patrol for speeding (valid stop, I was) and he comes back to me asking about the details to the earlier stop and WTF was that all about. He just shook his head to the story, handed me my license back said keep in down and have a good day.
