• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2020 RT Limited

Finally got to my Spyder Dealer today had to pick up some coolant for my 14 RTS. Got my first look at the new RT Limited. I do like the new floorboards and the extra room in the seats. The new dash looked great, although I couldn't see it on as the RT had a dead battery. The larger rear storage box is great for move room for the wife to carry more stuff. lol I thought after all these years that they would have gotten ridden of the annoying box in the left rear saddlebag. When the wife and I our out she puts her helmet in the right saddlebag and mine has to go in the front trunk, because in won't fit in the left one due to the box. I hope there are more options for handle bars too. I have the tri axis on my RTS now and love them. Oh just one more grip. lol 30K for the RT and the front fender has sticker that looks like a reflector? Come on!!! Glad I got to take a look, but I got only 12k on mine and a lot of addons.

Handlebar options on the 2020+ RTs are now almost limitless. ANY RT or F3 handlebar works. Retail on these are $150 and used ones are getting fairly plentiful. The red sticker on the rear of the fenders looks cheap but there is an aftermarket kit (for $270) that will replace the amber side reflector w/a snazzy LED turn signal and will add a red reflector/turn signal to the rear. The 2020+ frunk is supposed to be larger than the pre-2020s although I didn't measure. Just sitting on a new RT feels nice. The only real complaint I have with my 2018 RTL is the lack of leg room. Looks like the 2020+ solved that.

I do like the looks of the new 2020 RT. In fact, I like everything about it, except for the lack of power compared to my 2016 F3T. With the lighter weight and larger sprocket, I would be giving up a bit. I noticed that this weekend when I went riding with 2 of my buddies with matching 2020 RTs. Each time we took off, I would leave them with ease. They both had 2014 and 2015 RTs before their new ones and think their older spyders had more power also.

Love my ‘20 RTL (my first Spyder) I don’t get bent around the power question much. I didn’t buy it to compete. It doesn’t seem to have any difficulty reaching and sustaining the posted speed limits, so I lean back and enjoy the ride

Agree Stache, that was my thought as well, being my first Spyder I had no previous Spyder to compare. I find it is just as peppy as my 2005 GW triked out, and way, way, smoother ride. Happy camper here.
