• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well here it is, Just got home with it today and here is the picture.
I don't know if I'm going to install the short reach handle bars just yet because
it fits nice as is but I will ride it for a while to be sure. I am waiting on the riders
backrest to come in as well as the passengers arm rest.

Congrats, you got the short reach handle bars for a reason. This would be beneficial to others to know possibly your height and arm /sleve length to help make a decision. you say you might not need. Not asking g for me , but others.

I had the short reach bars on my 2016 F3/T so I kept them in case I needed them on the RTL. I am 5' 7'' tall and my arm length is about 19'' from chest to wrist if
this helps anyone else to make up their mind. So far the RTL feels very comfortable to me and my wife so we will ride it for a while before we decide to install or not to.

I have the Chalk White (dark) as well, thinking about the short reach bars, but not going there until I ride it for a while, also need the arm rests the the OEMs are around $400, so looking for after market. Back rest, not sure either until I get some miles on it. Kind of broke the bank this month, so gotta ease off and wait.

I know what you mean, I have another project bike I am working with to bring it up to par. Between the RT and Honda VTX it
has cost me a small bundle so I am going to start pacing my spending on them if that's possible.

Sitting on the F3 I found the bar reach to be much further than the RT. I'm almost 5'7", shrinking a bit here and there, but have 22" arm from chest to wrist, so I'm thinking the OEM is gonna work for me. Now the wife is not so fortunate with the shorter arm reach, so that could be a problem and we get the short bars, we'll just have to see how that works out. She will be getting the Spyder endorsement using the $ supplement that Canam provides, so I suppose the OldBiker will be riding on the pillion some. That's gonna be another experience....

I have the short reach bars on my 2020 RTL and I'm enjoying them as much as the TriAxis bars I had on my '15 RTL. My short reach bars are positioned as low as possible as you have some degree (15 degrees maybe) of freedom as to how low (flat) or high you want to place them. I'm 5'8".

Those short reach bars are looking better, especially that I know they will work for me, and way more comfortable for the wife. So there ya go, arm rests, and short reach bars, the bucket list grows already. I do not know how this machine can be more comfy, but I guess it can, for the wife I'm sure. I have discovered, a happy wife is a happy wife, and she sure likes this machine.
