There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 2020+ RT base model passenger backrest??

Is there such a thing as a passenger backrest for the 2020+ RT base model? I don't "need" one as I never plan on having a passenger but I think it would be a great look. Can't find anything in the new accessories manual but that doesn't mean something aftermarket isn't out there or that perhaps one for an F3T would work.

From the pics I've seen, in order to get a passenger backrest, you need to get the Trunk ...... that has the backrest built in ..... But I'm a DIY'er and I'm sure a separate pass. backrest could be made ..... jmho .... good luck .... Mike

Thanks although I have no intention of ever buying the trunk (unless I was getting it at a screaming deal....like $500). I don't care for the look and I'm not interested in carrying a passenger. I just think a passenger backrest would be the right look. I'm not a DIY'er like you are so making one on my own is out of the question.

First you need to take off the rear cover and install the Can-Am RT LinQ Rack for Spyder RT 2020 and Up (Part #219400973), which you can find on Amazon for $277.87 (Great Price). Then the Can-AM LinQ Passenger Backrest 2020 (Part #219400967) can be installed on the rack. This part is more expensive at $459.99. I hope this information helps.

I appreciate the info, John but I only want the passenger backrest for looks, I'm not spending $800. :) Besides, I would want to be able to retain the rear cover. Personally, I think that's one of the things that makes the RT base look so good. Not saying I wouldn't invest in the LinQ rack and a LinQ bag or 2 in the future if needed but I just happed to like the look of that smooth a**.

I cant figure out how to take off the rear trunk. Base RT

Remove the passenger seat, lift up the rear of the body colored cover then gently squeeze the front "hooks" in and pull backwards. Mine was stuck so I had to finesse each side out gently. Once I get them out, I added a dab of grease to each side. Hasn't been a problem since.
