There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2020 Garmin Zuma XT let the battery drain all the way ( will it come back to life)

Have had the XT sitting on my desk during the off riding season. I did charge it once and awhile but now its dead.

The unit is basically new , a 2020 model. Came with my RTL w/ 500 miles. I put in on the AC usb charger, does anyone think that the dead battery will come back to life?

TIA

Go figure. The thing is, I think it was never used.

Will leave it on charge for a few hours and see what happens.

Thanks

I've had plenty of Garmin GPS and have taken the battery to zero by leaving it on the bike for an extended amount of time and I've never had any problems recharging them.

You may be ok after charging but Garmin batteries are at best, iffy. I bought a new XT last month and the battery was DOA. Even after I charged it fully. I returned it and will stay with the 595. A friend had the same issue and sent his back also. The 59x Zumos have a poor battery plug design that causes intermittent charging but works fine with cradle power.

So I contacted Garmin and they are sending me out a replacement under warranty. Prob fixed

That's the way it should go. Several years ago I had the same problem. Glad it worked for you. Some Companies are still doing the 'Right Thing'. ....
