• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2020 Can am Spyder rt ltd backrest

The 2020 RT seats are 2 part seats, rider & passenger seat bases being separate; and the front seat is significantly lower than the passenger seat. All the RT seats for RT's from before 2020 have one part seat bases, with the rider backrest support going thru the front of the passenger seating area & fitting into the bracket underneath that spans about 1/4 of each of the base areas for both the front and the rear seats, altho the entire seat pan is one piece. Then there's the issue of how & where the different backrests work - the 2015 backrest itself is designed to support the rider in the small of their back, above the low but in-built lumbar support provided by the rise in the seat pan & the padding in the squab above; while the 2020 backrest fits between the 2 separate seats and provides support in a completely different way to that of the earlier seats.... :dontknow: :banghead:

Your 2015 back rest is not going to be transferrable to the 2020 seat. :lecturef_smilie: Well, at least not without butchering the seats and doing some potentially really savage & ugly 'customisation' to make it fit.... :sour: which would be akin to trying to force fit a seat back taken from a Model T into a 2020 Mustang, only it probably wouldn't look as good as that! :barf:
