I want to put an on/off switch in one of the empty switch blanks. I think the switches are Carlings. From my searches here, it looks like BRP changed the hole size in the 2020+ RTLs. Mine is a 2019, so I want to be sure I get the right thing.
Is this the correct one? https://rockerswitchpros.com/product/v1d1-g66b/
If so, it looks like I'll also need their removal tool, a custom actuator with lens (see pic), and bottom lens. I'd get a gasket too, just to be safe. See my cart pic.
For those that have done this, let me know if this will work, please.
For those interested, I want to wire my new underglow LEDs directly to the battery so I don't have to turn the bike "ON" and have the running lights on in order to run the underglows while parked. However, these have a bit of parasitic drain even when not turned on to keep the RF remote receiver module powered. Therefore, I want the switch to eliminate any possibility of parasitic drain. And yes, I know the dangers of running the battery down if I'm not careful. I have yet to measure the current draw of these... right now I'm just planning... but I cannot imagine the 8 little LED strips in this kit use that much.
