There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2018 Spyder RT Ltd - any ideas on Rear Shock Replacement?

Hello Forum,

I have a 2018 Spyder RT Limited.

Have about 12K on it and have put on or done quite a few mods to make this machine better and I am looking at replacing the rear shock, which IMHO is inadequate for that machine and not great.

Don't want to lose the self-leveling feature that bike has, but the intent is to make this bike better and so, if in that process, I lose the self-leveling ability, then that is the way it is. If you have this bike or something close to it, I would definitely like to hear of your experience and what your solution entailed; meaning did you swap out the shock, which shock did you use, have you missed the self-leveling feature? Things of that nature.

I am also disabled, and my hands work better than my legs. Has anyone adapted a hand brake for your Spyder, and if so, I would appreciate your thoughts on this adaptation as well.

Thank you for your kind responses.

Mike

Hello Racoon,

Thank you for the link and information. I saw that one. Do you have any experience with this system or type of system on these bikes. I am rather used to the Spyder now, but of course had a hand brake on my two wheelers. Would not think the same rules would apply when using a handbrake system on a Spyder versus a two wheeled ride.

I would also not be adverse to spending this kind of $ on a system like this if it works well, to me thats investment.

Appreciate the response.

Thank you,

And - Thank you, BR. I will look at that Lamonster option. Honestly, I am not a fan of BRP shocks, and that rear shock is one of the last things to go. Appreciate the recommendation.

I definitely will look at that ISCI handbrake for sale. Thank you, BR. ;)
