• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

j-t you 3 going back this year ? think you had 2 spyders and 1 gold wing ? if I remember right ... we are talking about the trip again , if things work out and not crazy busy will most likely make the trip ourselves !

Updating Attendies and crossing T's and dotting I's

If you have confirmed reservations at any of the Murray Hotels let me know. According to Springhill no one has registered under our spyder ride yet.

I need to get an accurate head count to give the Caterer for Saturday night. I am guessing the cost to be around 15.00 per person but will get more details after I get a head count.

The additional cost is, it is costing us $150.00 for the room at Springhill for dinner saturday night. I will be asking everyone to help me out with that so I don't have to end up paying for the whole thing out of pocket.

So if you ARE coming to the ride please email me at [email protected] so i can get an accurate head count.

I know i'm getting to all this late in the game but to say this has been a busy crazy year for me is an understatement.
 
Garden of the Gods

We will meet at Toms Grill Friday night at 6:30 across from our host hotel (Spring hill suites Use code KLBS when booking your room. Rates good until 09/15) . You will get your maps. This years adventure will include the Garden of the Gods in IL. (check your helmet laws). We will take a ride on the Ferry at Cave in Rock. We may come back through Bridgeport so we can cross the way cool bridge. :) (that part is not in stone we will take a vote at lunch lol) Our ride will be around 250 Miles maybe a little less with about 5 hours of saddle time. We will stop several times for those with small bladders and small tanks....FYI I upgraded this year !!! Our closing dinner will be catered into Springhill Suites Saturday night and for those not quite ready to hit the hay we can play games and there is a bar in the lobby ( no its not an open bar you must buy your own drinks lol)

Dinner will need to be paid for in advance plus your share of the meeting room. Total to come closer to time. The more friends you bring the cheaper the meeting room lol. I will provide dinner totals+meeting room by 28th. Plan on sending me money that weekend. This gives me time to go pay the hotel and caterer prior to our dinner. Remember this is for Saturday dinner. Friday you will pay for at Toms Grill.

Payments can be made to me for dinner through Venmo or Facebook. No I don't use paypal because they charge a fee.

If you forget to pay me for dinner you may not get any :) So if you show up to dinner with your lunch sack be prepared to pay cash for your part of the meeting room.

Some Changes

We are not going to rent the conference room at the hotel and have the caterer since we are a small group this year it just didn't make sense. So I have made us reservations at "The Alley Steakhouse" for Saturday night. Yes it is the restaurant we went to a couple years ago where we were there for HOURS !!!! But they have been open 2 yrs now and I have heard nothing but good this about them since. And anyone who remembers knows the food was wonderful they just didn't have the talent of timing down when we were there, so lets hope they improved :) I am going to work on two routes for Saturday 1) A trip to the Garden of the Gods. 2) A more local route we may have done before in parts or pieces. As of right now the weather report is showing 70's and Sunny for both Friday and Saturday BUT if that should change and we get the rain that is pushing on our tail then I may keep us closer to home.
