There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. 2017 F3-L Rear Tire Change

Hi All,

I have been doing a lot of searching on here about changing my rear tire and I appreciate all of the great info people have provided. I purchased a Vredestein Quatrac 205/60/R15 tire. I am planning on doing the work myself and I was wondering if anyone has used the Harbor Freight Manual Tire Changer to work specifically with this rear wheel? My concern is that the axle hole diameter on the wheel will fit on the center post of the changer. I tried to find the diameter of the axle to check, but have not had any luck. BTW, I have the original tire on running 28lbs and it has 19980 miles!

Thanks,
J

Original OEM Rear Tire

:shemademe_smilie:....The Wife said "You must have softer Roads or something". I was very carefull and only got 14,000
miles from my OEM. At 12,000 miles in was not good in the Rain.

Can’t help on the harbor freight question but wow…….I think that’s the highest I’ve ever heard of on Kendra’s. Mine was gone at 7200! Must have had a good tire! You almost got 3 times my mileage.

I thought the same thing. Bought the Harbor Freight tire changer. DO NOT DO IT!!! Wicked pain in the butt to use and you will scratch up your rim. Remove the wheel yourself and bring it to a tire shop. Town Fair Tire did mine no charge as I bought the tires from them.

That is the way my rear tire looked like at 14000 miles.
Really can't believe you rode 5000 miles more.

Oh well, Ryde Safe. .....

I have a similar changing frame. Thinking I may get a bloke to turn up a spacer I can drop over the post so it fits the id rim size and the post size. Make sense??. I will have a measure next time I have the rim off.
