One can hope till H*** freezes over but it is a very simple numbers game.

Each year there are more people on our planet. That means that each year more people will die than the year prior. Now, there may be some slight exceptions on any given year, but overall, that is what happens.

Last week I came across some statistics on how long we can expect to live. A new baby boy born today will ( on average ) live to be 76. Now, that includes those that die one week after they are born, etc, etc. Therefore, each year that one lives, he/she can be expected to beat that 76 yr number. For me ( now at 76 ), the statistical numbers give me ( on average ) another 10 yrs. However, for each year that I make it, that 10 yrs = 86 now for me, goes up.

It is really a very simple numbers game.

But it's not about the actuarial tables: it WAS a rough year. Each one of the musicians that we lost; had added to the fabric of the soundtrack of my youth... :shocked:
Each Sports figure, was one that I had followed...
Each celerity, was one whose work I had enjoyed...

Yep! This year was a personal year for me also. A lot of the celebrities that I admired, passed on. ray:ray:
