• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Couldn't find this info off had with a search. Can someone tell me the width of the rim on the rear wheel. Yes, looking for new tire and wanted to make a comparison to a car rim width. Thanks much. :popcorn:

Just a suggestion the TIRE Rack has very useful info on rim width vs, tire size ……… And to make things simple just get a Michelin " T & H "defender in 215/60 -15 and save yourself a lot of time.... This tire thing has been debated & decided for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. …..jmho …. No Mike, it may have been debated but its not decided that is the recommended choice at all. Especially for an F3, it has pretty limited traction. We find the recommended Yoko S-Drive a FAR better tire. And the size you quote is significantly taller than OEM and DOES cause trouble on some bikes at the rear fender/mud guard. It also has a non-symetric tread pattern which we HIGHLY recommend against on the single rear wheel Spyder. It does have asymmetric forces when it hydroplanes and can push the rear of the spyder to one side. Its NOT recommended at all.

Sorry to highjack this but, does anyone know the UTQG rating of the stock rear kenda? I’m currently running the kumho ecsta & it sucks for traction. I was thinking of going to the Pirelli P Zero but like jcthorne said it’s not directional. I’m probably going to go back to the kenda for traction unless anyone else has a recommendation. I do not care about tire life. I would rather change it out more often than loose traction.
 
Just put the Yokohama S-Drive 205/55. /15 on my 2018 F3-T. Fits great seams to have lots of traction. Mid April going on a 5000 mile trip to give it a good work out.
 
I can tell you the Yoko S-Drive has considerably better dry traction than the Kenda. It also does really well in the rain. As a side benifit of it being well made, it does not prematurely wear out down the center and you will get 15 to 18k miles out of one.
 
With respect to all concerned, if you have a tire "wearing out down the centre" this indicates over-inflation.

No, on the poorly constructed weak wristed Kenda tires, they wear in the center because the tread area is not properly supported by the tire's internal construction. The tire balloons at speed and rides only on the center of the tread. Its truly an awful tire. Its NOT over inflated.
 
I’ve got a few thousand miles on the Michelin Defender T&H 205 60 R15 on my 2016 F3LTD. And I’m not posting to take any sides here, just personal experience.
1. The tire fits fine.
2. It is very comfortable
3. I run 19/20 lbs of air
4. Handles great
5. I have not ridden in the rain with it so no comment.

I’ve also had the Yokahama S drive and loved the tire but it wore out too quickly so I’m trying the Michelin.
 
I am already at my second toyo r 888 r and I am fine, of course it consumes quickly, but to me this does not interest.
