• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am in the process of possibly upgrading from my 2013 RTL to a brand new 2015 RTL.
Are there any problems with the 2015 RTL that I should now about before I make the purchase?
Thank you

only problem is " you won't want to stop ryding it ":clap::clap::clap::yes::yes::yes::yes::yes:

:congrats: Everything that you loved about your 2013; you're going to REALLY love about your new bike.
Everything that you wanted to see improved on your 2013; they got right on your new bike too!:yes::yes:

we don't need no stinkin' problems.

But seriouosly now . If the ONLY thing you got was the 1330 triple and a 6 speed gearbox, and a massive difference
in service intervals.... what else would you need to be sold?

Much Better

I had a 2011 RTS and traded for a 2015 RTL. For me the biggest difference is in the motor. You don't have to rev the 1330 at all. No worries that you are keeping the alternator charging by having to stay in a lower gear. There are absolutely no losses switching, only gains. I have about 4500 miles on the new one in about 4 months, rode it coast to coast. Much better ride on the new one. Period. Dan

The only problem I have with my 2015 RT is the odometer. It claims that I've ridden nearly 11,000 miles, but I've only had it for 5 months. How can that be? :dontknow:

This all good to hear since my 2015 should be on the way soon. You forgot to mention they moved the radiator forward too so not as much heat (or so i have read) im replacing a GS not a 13 RT but the 13 was the super heat model? my brother has a 2012 that was really hot too (not like the 2013) we put some blocker plates on it and it got better but cant wait to ride the new 15

They got you covered. The odometer goes by at twice what you think. 21,000 here in a little over 15 months of riding my 2014.

The other problem is which color should you get.

Not one issue here since I bought my beta tester version.

Bought my 2015 RTL the end of July and now have 8,200 miles on it.:clap::clap: Towed a camper trailer for about 4,500 of those 8,200 miles and have had ZERO problems of any kind.

LOVE IT and I know you will too.

i have also heard that the 15 has had zero recalls is that true? A first for a spyder to be out a year without a recall?

For you '15 owners, do they need the new sway bar upgrade?:ohyea:

Only if your riding double. Reason I bought 2014 is a totally new front suspension and steering on the 2014 and 2015. Engine is good, 6 spd is good but the steering is much improved over the 2013 which I had. Handling and steering are a lot more important than the 1330 engine or the 6 spd in my opinion.

I will say yes as my 2015 RTS is much more maneuverable and the stock links are still plastic so I feel much better with the aluminum links. And I agree with Jack that with a passenger the Baja Ron sway bar is really a plus for handling.
Made a huge difference for me.
Best of luck
