• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 RTL Hazards Stopped Working - anything else to try?

So a few weeks ago, I noticed my hazards were being temperamental when trying to turn them on. I did eventually get them to work on/off flawlessly, testing them many times in a row.

Fast forward to today, and they don't work again. Realizing the brake lights are on the same fuse, I checked, and brake lights work. Checked the fuse anyways and it's fine.

Pulled apart the combo switch and sprayed electrical parts cleaner to clean out some dust. Really wasn't that dirty.
Put it all back together and still no hazards.

Is there anything else I should check before I throw the money down for a new combo switch?

BTW, both turn signals work fine, everything is fine except the hazards won't work. Got a benefit ride coming up and I need them fixed.

Yeah, you've pretty much isolated the fault to the Hazard button. Try this as next step: with the engine running, press and hold the Hazard button. Do the turn indicators flash? If Yes, then the wiring is good and the button locking function failed. If No, then it could be wiring or it could be the button.

Like the turn signal switch, the Hazard button is a signalling device, not a power device. The turn signals are powered from the instrument cluster. The Hazard button is enabled by Ignition-On and the instrument cluster takes control from there, subject to the locking function of the Hazard button.

Best wishes.

Thanks for your input. I will try that, and then maybe take more apart to check the wiring.
Most likely it's the switch. Too bad, I noticed Can Am doesn't list the right side part number (They only have the left). So most likely looking at a used one in the near future.
