• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 RT - What Anti freeze besides BRP's brand is safe to use?

Honda blue premix from your local Honda auto dealer in gallon containers... don't buy pints from Honda M/c stealers. It's been used in all Honda cars and bikes for years, around $23/gal

Plz do NOT mix different coolant colors. That will gum up entire system! You can dilute & just add water (preferably distilled) to whatever brand, just so long as it is safe for aluminum. If you can’t find a matching color, then drain, flush copiously with water, then add the new stuff. TThere is a drain plug on the radiator, but there have been multiple reports of it snapping! ⚠️⚠️ You can also remove the lower hose if you have a replacement strap/clamp, as the OEM clamp usually has to be cut. Hope this helps.

** Flushing can be done with tap water - just catch it all & dispose of it per EPA guidance properly. **

I have done 2 drain and refills in my 2015 RT. Both times I used NAPA 50/50 Prediluted Antifreeze & Coolant. Has a green label. Works just fine. Get at any NAPA auto parts store.

And don’t rely on the colors to assume that the two coolants are of the same type. The same colors usually mean the same type, but not always.

Best to read the specification in the handbook and then match coolants specifically by equivalent type unless you are draining and flushing completely.

I heartily agree with other posters who caution against mixing coolants

BRP XPS Coolant has served my Spyder excellently for 100K+ miles. It is premixed with coolant and distilled water so there's worry about proper mixing. Yes, it's $11.49/qt and you'll need 4 qt for your roadster but it's inexpensive insurance for a quality machine. JMO!

I've become tired of having to stock so many different types of coolants.
Last year I decided to find a coolant that would work in all of my vehicles that are equipped with aluminum radiators.
I settled on Peak Final Charge PRO Series. It's a P-OAT coolant that protects all cooling system metals except for copper-brass radiators.
I'm using it in my Spyder, and so far it's working fine.
I did flush it thoroughly and purge with distilled water before changing though.

If you are an Amsoil user for the oil (highly recommended here), they also make a premixed antifreeze labeled as powersports. I flushed mine with tap water and then with distilled water before refilling mine. I also use their coolant boost product also. Fans never run unless stopped or in heavy stop and go traffic.
