• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My spyder wont **** out of neutral int first gear. I can shift into reverse and it works fine. The engine rpm's appear to lift alittle but wont move out of N.

I have owned two spyders and have never had this problem before. If you hold the paddle for more than a second an E replaces the N so not sure, will phone dealer tomorrow morning and see if they have had this issue before. Hav just over 26,000 km on it in two years :gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah:

SHIFTING

I had the same problem on my F3-S last year. It turned out to be the reverse actuator switch which the dealer replaced.

If you're seeing an "E" where the gear indicator is: it could just be the gear position sensor.
As far as why you can only grab reverse: :dontknow:
Good luck; please let us know what happens!

I had the same symptoms, just as JKMSPYDER, I also had the reverse actuator switch replaced. By the way occasional "E" I got before the switch was replaced has never happened since. Was a bear for the tech to troubleshoot even with BRP's help. Tech eventually figured it out.

Thanks for the help. I've got it booked in next week, and have ordered actuator and cable ahead of time assuming that is the problem. My dealer sayes they have to diagnos the problem first and then take picture of malfuctioning piece and wait to see if they agree that its warranty then order parts and wait again. Summer will be over by the time its fixed if i wait for brp

Well got my spyder in and parts were in that i had ordered ahead of time , the actuator valve and the cable. It was a good thing i talked to the mechanic as he was heading in a whole different direction he thought it had to do with the actual forward shifting. So i showed him a post of what someone else had wrong which was exactly what mine was doing and he checked it out and sure enough the actuator valve was stuck halfway in and wasnt moving so he replaced it and the cable and we are back on the road again. I cant stress enough how much this foroum helps out trying to diagnois issues that some of these mechanics have never seen before and are willing to listen to what is written on these posts, so give yourselves a pat on the back for posting your mishaps and repairs. Thx:bowdown::bowdown: :yes:
