There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2015 RT-S SE6 Experiencing Limp Home Mode

All,
A friend has a 2015 RT-S SE6 with approximately 1000 mile that has had on 3 occasions the Limp Home Mode appear. The dealership has not been able to determine the reason for the Limp Home Mode. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance for your input.

:agree: This would be the first possibility to review with him...
If the dealer plugged the Bike into BUDS; it would pull up anything stored in the system.

Thanks for the suggestion and prompt response to the question. I will pass it along. Dealer pulled the codes, but I was not told what they were.

Need more data...

if the dealer has seen it they must have seen the codes. You need this info so we can better help out. I have had limp home code once for killing the engine starting out in the wrong gear. It cleared once I stopped let the computers reset. If it is not limiting his speed and rpm it will be a minor issue....:dontknow:

My 2014 went into limp mode once for no apparent reason. I took it to the dealer who hooked up the BUDS and it showed an error code of all zeros. Apparently, according to the dealer that happens occasionally for no known reason. I was told to not worry about unless it becomes a problem, which so far it has not. (Almost 20k miles)

Then another time it went into limp mode when I went two up, which is extremely rare for me. The dealer pulled the code and it was load related, so the suspicion is that BUDS learned the normal loading of the bike and then when I went two up, it temporarily freaked out.
