• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 RT - S or Limited trying to decide

RT Limited

I got the Limited because that was what was on the showroom floor and my wife told me that was what I was going to buy.:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

buy the "S" and save a few bucks.

I have a 2014 RT Limited and my wife just picked up her 2014 RT-S yesterday. The big differences is the GPS, additional chrome and the shelf in the trunk. The frunk suitcase, too.

It easy and less costly to install the GPS on the S and the bike is just as nice.

Good luck with your decision.

I ordered a 2015 RT Limited because I wanted chrome and the GPS. It was cheaper to order the Limited with factory chrome and factory GPS. This time I changed out the rims and added an Akripovick exhaust. Graphics and farkles to follow,
My 2010 was a RT S because it was a dealer demo, the limited was not out yet. I did not add chrome because of the cost. I bought a Garmin ZUMO 660 from GPS City.ca (USA GPS CITY.COM) and bought the BRP accessory GPS holder kit. It was a lot cheaper than buying the BRP GPS kit.:yikes:

All very good advice above. There are almost to many choices. :dontknow: A good problem to have.

If you want a Garmin and a lot of real chrome, the LTD is the way to go.

The "specials" are very nice and the color combos stand out nicely.

The S version has always been my choice. Pretty much all the doo dads but no Garmin. I'm a guy and never get lost--so don't need it. :roflblack::roflblack: The satin fake chrome works for me. I hate to polish the real stuff.

Have had 2 "S" versions and one A & C (now base) version. The 2010 RT-S was the top of the line when it first came out in "Premier Edition." I had #474.

There are still some good buys on 2014's if you can find them. You might have to be a bit less picky on color choice. If color is a big deal, get what you want and avoid the V-8 syndrome. "Wow, I coulda, hadda V-8" :roflblack:

Have a great hunt and let us know what you decide. Pictures requested of course.

You are Never LOST till you are out of GAS.

CAREFUL SHOPPER

I went for the BASIC RT SE 2014 .....I saved over $ 8,000 and don't miss any of what the " S " and " LTD " had ......I have added a Utopia back rest $ 115 off E-Bay .....Lots of extra LED's $ 50 on E- Bay.....Floorboards $ 25 ..home-made .......JBL speakers $100.....priceless ..........I would not trade MY Basic for an LTD even if I didn't have to pay any extra .........just sayin Mike :2excited:   :yes:

:agree:. The only thing that I would like is for there to be available colors for every trim. I would like to have more colors, but that is not a deal breaker.

. . .
It looks like, to get the mods that I want, it is going to be cheaper to buy the Limited, instead of paying extra for the mods on the S.
. . .

Thanks!!!!

It sounds like you really want the Ltd, since you want the mods to make the S into a Ltd. So I'd go for the Ltd.

One other thought, though . . . Even if you buy the Ltd. there will be farkles you'll find you can't live without. So make sure you hold some money back for those!! nojoke

Can't wait to see what you decide.:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:
