• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 RS ... Can BRP walk and chew gum at the same time?

Are people still expecting an updated RS/RSS if they just came out with a new model?
They tend to only do one significant change a year. I was really hoping at a minimum to get an ACE 990 if not a modified ACE 1330 in the RSS this year. While it could use some more power, the 29MPG i get out of it is abysmal...

Sure am, BRP and my dealer haven't been able to fix my 2012 spyder that has been acting up the entire last year. My dealer wanted me to move up to a 2015 and not a 13/14 because they are identical to my 12. Knowing how BRP seems to touch one model at a time, it seems like this will be a huge let down knowing i'm stuck with this lemon.

Your 12' is considerably different than 13'-14'. 13' was actually a pretty big change....not necessarily for the better.

:agree: It sounds a bit as if your dealer isn't telling you a complete and accurate truth... :banghead:
Right around 09/23; we'll all find out what's in store for the RS series.
Keep your fingers crossed!! :D

Thats true, they combined the platform with the STs... Some of the accessories don't carry over... exhaust, lighting, saddle bags.... I'm still irked they dropped the HID lights.

You don't feel the new F3 is a reasonable replacement for the RS? It may need a windshield but otherwise it looks like a nice evolution of the sport end of the roadster line.

I don't like the riding position... it may perform just fine, but its just not really a "sport" vehicle... its more casual.

Sounds like s simple option pack to change the handlebar position (could be easy as the photos show a round handlebar that might be easily rotated or even replaced with other standard motorcycle 1" dia bars) and a change in foot peg positions. The seat location appears even lower than the current RS.

Like others have suggested--Hang in there for another 33 days. I don't like the game playing of the release of one picture and no other information--but that's what they feel is good marketing.

It remains to be seen what is going to happen with the RS/RSS. I am thinking the F3 is going to get the most attention this go around.

Were I soon to be in the market, at this point I would be having a big cup of "wait and see."

Your dealer seems unclear or unsure of the information and how they are trying to steer you--I would recommend taking their information with a grain of salt. Talk with some other dealers in MN--there are a few around the Twin Cities.

Have to agree..!!

and please..cosmetic/ color changes don't count. That is what farkeling is all about. The RS/RSS are not the units causing or having the problems so why invest in them leave well enough alone. Jmo love my RS and frankly would not change it unless they get a bigger V-Twin..

My 13 has a lot of differences compared to the 12 , the basic engine is the same but the power changed , hp was little less but torque was a little more and powerband comes in earlier

wheels, tires, brakes, frame, fender, gauge cluster, throttle by wire, cruise added etc

14 had more changes still but I heard the nanny settings were changed but not a significant difference still.

now while the 13s have there heat issues BRP worked with the panels to correct that and even though haven't got mine back yet to check and report how they are , I hear they work great.

With all the changes personally I would be surprised if the RS and RSS are gonna change a real lot. I love to see some big changes but with this new model I really don't think it's gonna happen this year.

I think you will find they were pretty much forced into doing something before the scheduled release date in September, due to the leaked Spy photos circulating. So a token gesture like that was better than no response at all I guess.
I'm sure there will be a lot of very annoyed people at BRP Head Office, as it has pretty much stolen their thunder for Sept Release.

At least they've got some time to put together an even better presentation for the changes to the rest of the line-up!
They did make changes; didn't they??

Of course! :roflblack: Can't wait to see the new colors. Red is back per the spy photo rear end shot of the RT (I know you caught that).

Maybe this is smoke and mirrors?? They show these pictures with no details a month before the release, using professional photographers and models. Seems a little odd to me, like it is a set-up. Is it market research? Is it an upset photographer getting payback? ot is it something to keep the left hand from knowing what the right hand is doing?

Just sayin'...........

Please be patient there is more to come. In 2004 when BRP changed the ski-doo to the REV platform the whole line went to the same platform so the same could happen hear just wait and see before giving up hope.
I am hoping for a new look RT for 2015,but still plan on ordering an RT any way.:ohyea::clap::clap::shocked:

To answer your question BRP can walk and chew gum at the same time, it a no brainer for them :roflblack::roflblack:
