• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 F3S windscreen / passenger backrest

Has anyone tried a replacement touring windscreen on their 2015 F3S ? The stock windshield directs the airflow at eye level.
Also, need a recommendation for a passenger backrest.

I spend lots of $$$ trying to get the stock windshields to work. Wasted my time and money. There are lots of posts from other members that have found third party windshields that work for them. (from sponsors) I went the DIY path. I modified a 2007 HD fairing. Works great!

I also did DIY on the backrest. OEM accessories are way to expensive!!!

Windshield

I changed from a blue ridge to an F4 customs windshield on my F3. Almost always 2 up with my wife as passenger. Went with the 32" tall which really helps the passenger. I have a previous post that has some measurements for the height above the key bezel as a reference.Enjoy the ride. Lee

If you already have the BlueRidge wind shield try att, aching an X-Creen tour. Many of the 2015 F3 owners have done this and it solved the problem for me. It is the cheapest route to go until you figure out if you want to go in another direction

BlueRidge windshield and X-Creen Tour works well

I agree with Tassel. The X-Creen Tour and BlueRidge windshield works perfectly for me. Previous to adding the X-Creen, I was getting serious turbulence at head level. With adjustment I have been able to get smooth flow and just the right amount of air moving around me for my taste in travel. Plus, I get to look over the screen rather than through it for a better view and safety. Check out the Twist Throttle website for the unit and they have a great installation video available on youtube.

Do you have any pictures of your back rest and how you attached it?

I recently put an F4 windscreen on and it works like a charm, being 6'5" the factory one wasn't working for me....with the one from F4 I don't feel any rough wind any more. Love it!
