• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 Can-Am Spyder Roadster Spied!

I think this is our first look at the new lower cost RS entry level unit. Notice the reduced body work, no windshield etc.

My thought exactly!! The average age of a Spyder owner is 50+. The 20 and 30 somethings down't have $16,000+ to drop on a Spyder. They really needed to target that market with this year's new models.

UGLY

is it me or does anyone else think it is ugly as sin

JOHN, "UGLY" WOULD BE AN IMPROVEMENT........
I WAS GOING TO BUY A 2015 RS, BUT IF THIS IS IT..... I'LL KEEP MY '09.........
UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGLY.......C:lecturef_smilie: NO NO NO BRP.....

It's on..!!

just what they need to get the ball rolling. Lower prices throw out some peeks and see the sparks fly. Then play a bit more with the prices so like I said we are outta the gate...:2thumbs: The race is on...nothing to look at yet..:lecturef_smilie:

I think the announcements this year are going to be very interesting. These spy shots might confirm the following.

- If they are putting the 1330 in a RS/entry level Spyder then the 1330 should most definitely be in an ST.
- I think the RT and ST designs are too new for a complete makeover so soon, so this mule is probably the low cost entry.
- We still have yet to see what the Lamonster Garage connection is with the announcements... Probably some branding and such.

Now, if they leave the ST alone except for a 1330, I'm buying an ST. If they introduce an entry model that has the 1330 and they don't put it in the ST, then I might just hang on to the 08 longer or go back to two wheels.

5 weeks folks... Time will fly. :)

This looks like a work in progress. I'll reserve my opinions for the finished version when revealed by BRP.

:agree: If you look closely at the frontal shots; you can soee some shiny bodywork, and some that is dull...
The dull stuff is the camoflage! You've got to look behind that huge grille up front to see what's really coming!
(I think!)
It's obviously not a Vee-Twin engine, the riders pegs are much more forward, and the handlebars sit Waay higher... I wonder if they're also that way to throw us off? :dontknow:

Wow I love it. Looks like it's gonna be slick. Finally doesn't look like a seadoo with wheels. I'm sure once the camouflage is removed it will be sweet. To bad one doesn't fit in my budget at this time. Now only if it has some more juice then I might have to take some measures!

Maybe. But then, we'll find out eventually anyway!

My observations:

  • Considering the ryder's position, I think it's more akin to the ST than the RS.
  • I don't care for the front end, but it is distinctive from the existing models. If it's the new entry-level version, I think it should be different.
  • With the cowling off around the engine it looks more "motorcycle-ish"
  • No windshield? Maybe it will be like the Harleys, everything will be add-on features

I honestly think on this ride BRP would not be to worried about how the body looks and more concerned about how the motor ran and the Spyder handled!:doorag: My guess is definitely the new entry level Spyder!
