• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a BRP back rest on my 2014 RT and the only way I see how to adjust it, is to add flat washers to the mounting bracket to allow for an slight angle in the seating position. A few washers helps tremendously. If I get a chance later, I will try to take a picture of this... I can't remember if you can see it from under the seat when it's lifted.

i did the same thing to mine, but still felt it pushed me too fay forward so i returned it

If you add washers to the front of the seat bracket, it tilts you forward more, if you add washers to the back of the bracket, it tilts you back more.

(the bracket is the part under the seat with four bolts that the actual backrest attaches to).

If you look at the bracket, it's two pieces bolted together. Rather than adding washers where the bracket bolts to the bottom of the seat, I took the bracket apart and added washers between the two parts of the bracket. If I remember correctly, I added 6 very thin stainless steel washers (3 on each bolt) on the front to tilt the backrest to the rear. Worked perfectly.

The factory bracket under the seat is only one piece.

Maybe BRP has changed the bracket, but mine is definitely 2 pieces. One is the flat piece that bolts to the seat pan, and the other is a vertical piece that is bolted on top of the flat bracket. The backrest "rods" insert into the vertical piece.

It would be great if BRP made a retrofit piece to make the RT backrest adjustable. I'm sure BRP realizes the design mistake on the RT backrest and corrected it on the F3.
