• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 vs 2015

Yes. The most important is they fix problems from earlier years. It's good to buy the latest model. In the long run you save money.

Ehhh...dunno about that Mike. How'd that work out for those that bought those nice new 13' models early in 13' instead of buying a 12' leftover?...lol.

As I see it..!!

not enough to merit the price change. Paint is cheap but tooling up for a new model is not...I, for one, can wait they make a good product and mine is just where I want it...

My dealer told me the RT models are the same except for paint changes from the 2014 to the 2015. He told me there is no reason for me to upgrade to the 2015 and keep my 2014 RT. This was his reply after attending the dealer meeting last week.

The biggest change is the introduction of the new F3. That is a whole different :spyder2: and comes equipped with the ACE 1330 engine which is now in its second year.

Big paint changes on the RS-S versions, but not much mechanically noteworthy.

ST seems pretty much unchanged.

RT is virtually the same except for some color changes.

Since I am not going to get an F3, my 2014 is more than sufficient. Were I planning on buying a new RT, I would most likely opt for a 2014 if there was one in a color choice I wanted. You save a few bucks. However...a total of 4 years warranty is being offered if you purchase a 2015 before January 15th.

Choices, choices. I am guessing you will not find deep discounts on 2014 RT models though.

I see the F-3 paired with the 1330/6spd transmission. In 2014 RTs, I see a lot of you folks getting 40 mpg +/-. Seems I read that the F-3 is geared differently. I am more of a touring type than a burn-out style rider. Can anyone who has ridden the F-3 comment on mileage DURING NORMAL RIDING! :D With a 7 gallon tank I was wondering about range. Thanx for any input!

Are you referring to 2013 ST's that was a new model, but they fixed that in 2014 model and upgraded the 2013 ST's and the 2013 RS's. The RT's I thing did the same. I didn't track the RT,s, I am not going to buy an RT ever. That's IMHO.

Some speculation on my part--also waiting for the actual reports.

RE Mileage: Since the 1330 ACE in the RT gets around 40 mpg regularly for me, I would assume that the F3 (a lighter weight model) would do a bit better in mileage. Unless, of course it is driven more aggressively--which I think it will be.

Take the new gas tank (7 gallons)--figure 6.5 gallons usable, and you have 260 miles on a tank with the "usual" 40mpg. If you get--say 43 mpg--that's 279.5 miles on tank.

Enough speculation--hopefully, we will hear some actual results soon.

:popcorn::popcorn: No BBQ here. Gasoline and BBQ don't mix well. :roflblack:
