• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've seen most of the words written about the new 1330 but does anyone know whether it will perform on regular gas or are we into the high-test machinery area...?

Use unleaded gasoline or oxygenated fuel containing no more than 10% ethanol or methanol. The gasoline used must meet the following octane number:

Considering..!!

the difference per tank is about a buck and a half why not take advantage of the additives in high test other than octane. It may be that I didn't buy our roadster for economy. We have a mini for that. But if used in the US 87 will work fine....:dontknow:

In my mind, it's not really a question of Expensive vs Cheap stuff.
It's a question of better performance vs poor performance.

After 26,000 miles, I'm not yet convinced my 2010 RT runs any better on the higher octane.

Of course, as always, my free advice comes with a double your money back guarantee.
 
89 vs 93 octane

Here in Chicago area I tried 4 tanks of 93 octane and averaged 32 mpg , went back to the 89 octane and got 34/35 mpg -- 87 was about 33 mpg -- maybe just the fuel around here but I stick with the mid-grade 89 octane
 
The gas stations sell a lot more 87 octane then they do the high test so, the 91 octane may also be in the ground a lot longer than the 87. If the engine doesn't knock with the 87, I would use that. Just make sure that you keep the ethanol content to 10% max.

I found a pretty signifcant decrease in fuel economy when running 87 in mine... :shocked: It was a toouch over 2 mpg drop! :yikes:
