There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When you lift the seat you will see a lever than you can pull to the side and it will allow the backrest to come right out. To remove the backrest bracket there is 4 screws underneath to be removed. It is easier to get to all 4 if you pop off the seat shock. To do this just use a small flat head screwdriver and pull down briefly on the metal piece and the shock will come off the post easily.

It's from a comfort seat. I'm selling the seat and the back rest. Off of my 2014
RT Limited. Chocolate brown. Also have a 2012 Lava Bronze RT-622 trailer for sale. 2000. Used only once.

It might help your sale if you post a picture of the seat and the backrest. Is the seat Chocolate Brown?
