There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2014 RTL headlights not lighting up

Make it as complicated as you like, but pretty much if you have the ability to hear the shutter cycling the wiring and power is likely fine. Change the bulbs and quit screwin around.

Bulbs should be the first check. If fuses failed or relays fail, fine, but not that common, AND for a fuse to fail it takes time to sort out.

Bulbs are known low life span items, just like front pulleys, fix it and be done. Not difficult, but if beyond your ability get help.

Thanks for the tip on cycling the hi/lo beans. I did that and yes, the shutter has power. Wish I'd done that first, but at least I've learned a few things about my bike I didn't know before.

Time to change the bulbs probably. What is the consensus these days on the best LEDs to get? I'm inclined to try Lamont's.

The headlight connector when you disconnect it from the bulb. But sounds like you are going with LED's. I just installed Benebolt LED on my RT. But have not had time to finish putting the Spyder back together yet to tell you if they are better.

Always seem the LED are either going out at the worst time and really liked the Benebolts on my vehicles so far.

When you get the bulbs out make sure to check to see if there is power there before putting everything back together.

I had replaced my headlights and fog lights with LEDs from a former vendor here 4 years ago. The left headlight went dead just a few months later and I replaced it under warranty. Thankfully my fog lights are still good because those are a real bear to replace, especially the left one.

I've just ordered a set from Lamont; they're different from the ones he was originally selling I think. So, the technology and marketplace seems to be constantly evolving.

Replaced my led headlight bulbs with Lamonster kit today. Now they work again. That's all that was wrong with them, apparently.

Following this…what was the verdict? Did new bulbs fix the issue? I’m struggling with the same problem but the likelihood of both sides going out at one time while setting on the shop floor are quite high. I don’t have power to any of the R6 relay socket pins, but have voltage at the other fuses in the box. Not hearing any shutter noise, but only checking it with the engine off…can’t hear it with the engine running. Ideas?

Additional info…no voltage detected at the LED bulb plug nor at either post of the F1 and F2 fuses on right side. Digging into T1 & 2 on the right box now.

Yes, that fixed the problem. Inexplicably, both left and right had stopped working.

The shutter makes a distinctive 'clunk' noise when it changes position. I 'm able to hear it over the engine running.

Thanks. I’m not hearing that at all. Also, no tail lights or brake lights, but turn signals work fine. Only one pin in the R1&2 headlamps relay socket in the right box had voltage…the 2nd from the left at the top. None of tge R2 relays four pins shows any with the relays removed.

I sent you a PM which should arrive as an email. I can send you a wiring diagram that might help. What year and model do you have again? (It might help in the future if you put this info in your signature block).

Problem solved. It was the F4 fuse in the right box…schematic indicated it fed a number of things downstream. Fuse looked ok but showed no continuity. Popped a new one in and all is well. Thanks for the advice-
