There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2014 RT with intermittent digital gas gauge - anyone have any ideas for me?

I am having a problem with my digital gas gauge. Sometimes, it works & then the next time you look at it is all blank. Yesterday I was riding, and it showed 4 bars; about 5 miles later, it was blank, and would not show anything. I stopped and filled with gas, then it was working again. I rode about a mile, and it went blank again. I went home and parked, tried it again about an hour later, and it worked; today, it is not working again. It is not showing any codes. Anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks

How old is your battery--or--loose connections? When electronic glitches start to happen, that is the first place to look.

I sounds like to me that the sending unit has gone haywire or could be a loose connection at the sending unit.

Looks like a loose connection or a faulty sending unit. Start with tracing the wires from the top of the fuel tank where the sending unit is located (may vary on the F3 :dontknow:) making sure that connection is tight. Then check the pins on the plug to the instrument cluster. Shop manual would have some tests for the sending unit for further testing. Hope it's just a loose connection.

The fuel gauge in my wife's car has not worked in a couple of years. I think it's the fuel sending unit on the fuel pump in the gas tank. She's uses the trip meter for a fuel gauge. She fills the tank and sets the trip meter to zero. When it hits 250-300 miles, she refuels. She hasn't run out of gas yet. If the trip meter goes Tango Uniform she is going to have a problem. ;)

Thank you everyone for your help, but I did not get it working, no loose connections that I could find. I called my dealer at CowTown USA. The tech is thinking a bad sender. I'm going to make an appointment and get in there as soon as the weather breaks and warms up a bit more, it's 120 miles one way. Thanks again, Ramond.

Sorry it took me so long to thank you all for all of your info. I have talked to my dealers' tech, Kevin, in Cuba Missouri at Cowtown USA. He is a super good tech, and he thinks my problem is the gauge sender also. I am still waiting until the weather gets a bit better before making an appointment Thank you all. Raymond
