• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 RT Panels

Just picked up a new 2014 RT Limited and have less then 100 miles on it and the right hand saddle compartment is banging off the frame or something going down the road. Has anybody else had this problem? This machine rattles so much going down the road I pulled over a couple of times to see what was falling off. I traded off a 2005 Gold Wing and I realize it will not be as quite and rattle free but this just does not seem right.

Thanks

Contact the dealer. Something is not right! :congrats::welcome::ohyea: Tom :trike:

I haven't heard of any issues with the new RT rattling, including my own. It sounds like it may be an assembly issue, and as stated, you need to take that back to the dealer to have them check it out. If they say nothing is wrong, then go to another dealer, because it is far from normal.

Something definitely is not right. They didn't tighten something, forgot some bolts, or something else odd is happening. The only things that rattle on our :spyder2:'s are things we put in the bags or trunk and let roll around.

I had to firmly attach the vent covers on my new RT when I got it home. I usually check all my machines when they are serviced, but I missed doing that for the maiden voyage home. (5 miles.)

Does anyone else wonder, when something like this happens, what else they did wrong? When my former dealer left parts off the parking brake, they guaranteed no business from me, ever again . . . fortunately, within two hours of riding, I have six other dealers, so I'm not a captive audience for the closest dealer . . .

AH Dealers.... they have as hard a time finding good help as any other business. Mine put a comfort seat backrest on a stock seat and insisted the huge wrinkles in the seat material behind it would eventually smooth itself out. Then the tech told me it was correct and I would have to call BRP myself to get it corrected. He was wrong. I was right. He said he was sorry. I agreed.....

Not to defend differing dealerships, but............... Brakes and cases are all pre-assembled at the factory before the bike is crated. Short of disassembling the bike upon uncrating it few if any dealers would find those defects.
