• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 RT Ltd Spyder with new battery won't start! Ideas?

Hey Spyder Heads, just wanted to share my experience with my 2014 Spyder RT.

I've been having issues with the battery dying way faster than usual. I've just noticed a something - I'm now thinking the Bluetooth someway somehow is draining the battery. Either way, I'm sick of it dying out, and I'm hoping I've come up with a possible solution, as drastic as it may be!

I've decided I'll just disconnect the battery whenever I leave it overnight or on extended days when I may not drive it for whatever reason...

IDK what else to do, TBH!

If you have some sort of "quick dis-connect" on the battery, that's fine; but if you have to remove one of the battery leads down on the battery, that can be a problem .... could you dis-connect the "blue-tooth" instead? .....Mike

Is this an add on Bluetooth you are talking about? Simple to test - bike off; go to the Bluetooth section on your phone to see if it is still connected; if it is, you have found your problem.

This thread goes back to December 2021 and then one post in 2022 asking if the problem was ever solved. The OP has not been on site for a couple years.
