• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 RT Limited Cognac value?

I have a 2014 RTL Cognac w/ heated seat, sway bar, hiway pegs and a few other accessories. Only 4,000miles. I'm going to be putting it up for sale, what do you think is a "fair" (to buyer and seller) value to ask?

I recently bought a similarly equipped identical year and model for $18,250 and drove to Alabama on my own dime to do so. That's just me, but I hope that helps. Thanks for the question; it should generate a lively discussion!

how did you pay the guy? I'm a little nervous about method of payment. Was it private seller? Thanks for answering.

I brought a cashier's check with me and exchanged it for the title once I'd checked the bike over and test-drove it. It was someone on this forum. I have since bought a comfort seat from someone else on this forum; he graciously sent me the seat trusting me to send him payment once I received and was happy with it.

So far, I've had nothing but good experiences buying from forum members. But, then again, I've been on the forum for awhile, have gotten to know some people and found it useful to research their forum post history to get a sense of what they're all about.

That's a really, really, really good price Bob.:bowdown: That's $75 higher than kbb retail blue book. You did good.

NADA low retail is about $14,000 and high retail is about $18,500 for NJ and not counting the farkles. I would say start at $16,500 and expect to come down a little during negotiation. I bought my 2014 RTS in Seattle in December 2015 for $18,000.

Bob, you must be paying full MSRP minus the $20k trade-in!
