There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I am searching for fog lights for a 2014 Spyder RT. I find the following part number readily available online: [h=2]219400137[/h]Problem: Many ads say they fit 2013 RT and prior. Others say 2014 RT dan prior. Anybody put these on their 2014????? I don't want to buy them if there is a problem. I know part number 219400579 will fit. BRP says these are 2015 and prior..only problem...much more $$$$!

Any help would be cool! Thanks in advance!

The part # I found in both the 2013 & 2014 shop manual are the same but differ from the # you posted.

The part number for the after factory kit most likely is not same as for the replacement light. Also, kits assembled before 2014 would not say 2014 and earlier.

Why does everything for the Spyder cost $500??? It that a magic number??? Wouldn't mind having a set of fog lights, or the BRP driver's backrest - but at $500 each, I don't need them...

I purchased a set on Amazon for $324.00 shipped. Part # 219400137, 2013 and prior. Works well.

:agree: I talked to my local dealer, and he discounted the fog lights by $100 ($399 after discount). I have now found them for $335 online, but I cannot find the link anymore. As for the backrest, I plan on going with Utopia, or another brand that I found on amazon for around $200. As always, there are ways around the high cost of most items.

FOG LIGHT PRICES....!!!!!!

Cost was the first reason I didn't buy them. Second reason is they still use incandescent bulbs. Now, it they had LED lights in them they'd be worth considering.

I bought these https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...d-10-watt-led-mini-auxiliary-work-light/1386/ for a hundred bucks for the pair. To see them on my bike go to the second post here: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?70716-Wolo-Trumpet-Horn-Install-on-13-RT-Part-1. I mounted them on the fenders.

fog lights

The Glenda lights by Clearwave are worth considering. They light up the road fairly well, but most importantly they make you HIGHLY visible to oncoming traffic, day or night, especially at night. My frined with whom I have ridden many thousands of miles has the Glendas and I speak from experience.

Good looking lights but just as pricey as the BRPs.

I upgraded my headlights to HID, then my factory fog lights were not even seen. I upgraded the factory fog light to HID and still useless. I bought a set of LED dual power fog lights and mounted them on the A frames and they did the trick. On high beam they light the road like magic, on low beam the head lights take over. The factory fog lights do nothing but look good.

I tend to agree. Our machine has the BRP HID kit installed and honestly the BRP fogs will fill in the spots within say 20 of the nose.

With oem halogen headlights, I would run the fogs also.

For looks or riding in the wet I replaced the oem fog bulbs to orangey name brand bulbs. Adds contrast to see through the rain when in traffic or close quarters at slower speeds.

All the best with it.
